Welcome to our new School Council
It has been wonderful meeting up with our newly elected school councillors from years 1 and 2 in the last couple of weeks and talking to them about their new roles and responsibilities. We discussed being the representative for their class and listening to the views of their peers, ensuring that they report these views back at our school council meetings each week.
Improving our play and lunch times
We had a long discussion about how best to spend the money that we raised at the hugely successful cake sale in the summer, taking in the wishes of the outgoing school councillors and thinking of some of our own. The consensus was that we buy some resources for playtimes, that can be enjoyed by years 1 and 2 during their break and lunch. Some very grandiose suggestions regarding swimming pools and soft play areas had to be somewhat tempered! With some encouragement, it was decided that we would purchase some tuff trays and construction resources, as well as some soft footballs and extra books. We will let you know exactly what was bought once it all arrives.
Thank you school council for working together to make our school such a collaborative and happy place to be!
