Atwood news for week ending Friday 30th June
Mr Veale’s welcome ‘Are we nearly there yet?’ Today is the last day of June, a month that only has 30 days.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. After arriving as inner-city camping beginners, all our Pegasus pupils are leaving Cuffley feeling like fully-certified wilderness adventurers.
Yesterday, the children in our Nursery and Reception classes had a day full of fun.
Year 1 Visit the British Wildlife Centre– report by Miss Daulton and Mr Spriggs British wildlife centre ‘Year 1 had an amazing trip to the British Wildlife Centre last Monday.
What an incredible day at Cuffley! After a morning of rain, the sun brightened our day and spirits were high for a full day of activities.
Year 2 have been exploring habitats as part of their science topic.
At EPS this week we were lucky to have two-time national champion sprinter, Frederick Afrifa, come to work with us on our fitness and share his story in an inspirational assembly.
Although these Year 6 children are not camping, they’ve still been exploring the great outdoors at Crystal Palace Park.
Mrs Bayliss’ Croydon Athletics Report ‘Team Atwood took the Croydon Athletics by storm again this year with 22 Atwood (Team 74) children taking part in the Track and Field events over 2 days (Monday and Wednesday) with 12 children qualifying for the Finals on Friday.
Yesterday, Asteroids and Meteors classes from EPS visited the Buddhapadipa Temple in Wimbledon as part of their RE studies.
It has been a fun-filled and action-packed day at Cuffley for Year 6!
