Easter Nests, Dentist and Odd and Even
In Reception this week we were learning about the Christian holiday of Easter.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of the Spring term at Cypress although the sunny weather and spring flowers are showing us that spring has well and truly arrived.
As the Easter break approaches, Yellow Class bid farewell to their exciting topic, “People Who Help Us” and their class role play “Pizza Restaurant”.
World Maths Day was an exciting and action-packed celebration, filled with engaging activities that brought out the best in both students and staff.
Easter Fun! What a sunny and fun-filled week we have had to round off the half-term in Little Cypress!
Phonics: Our initial sound in phonics this week has been ‘b’.
To finish our topic of ‘To The Rescue!’, we looked at the story of ‘Croc goes to the Dentist’.
Last week, Whitehorse Manor Juniors had an exciting visit from the ‘Great Athlete,’ Courtney Orange, a National and Commonwealth gymnast.
This morning,Ecclesbourne held a very eggciting assembly. For the past two weeks, we have been collecting donations of Easter eggs from our lovely families and selling raffle tickets to hopeful children.
In Nursery, the children have been thinking about patterns and eggs amongst other things.
This term in Thematic Year 2 have been learning about London.
Ecclesbourne’s Netball A team stormed into the league finals after an unbeaten season.
We have had a busy couple of weeks in nursery reading the story book ‘Willbee the Bumblebee.’
It has been a busy week at Cypress with lots of visits and learning taking place.
