CYP LOWER – Little Cypress: A big welcome to our youngest children!
We would like to extend a huge welcome to our youngest children in both Rainbows and Nursery.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. It’s been a very busy week for Gold Class. The children have shown great bravery and maturity and have settled in really well.
Our current Thematic topic in Year 3 is a local area study about Crystal Palace.
Pupils from KS2 Benefit from Lunchtime Coaching Pupils in KS2 are benefiting from lunchtime coaching led by Sports After School (SAS).
Yesterday, we were all saddened to hear of the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
Our new year 3 cohort has had a fantastic start to their Key Stage 2 career.
There have been sixty one Kings and Queens of England in the last 1200 years but none has been monarch longer than Queen Elizabeth II, who died yesterday at the age of 96.
It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II today.
The year 6 children ended their final year at Primary school with an exciting 2 days.

Atwood Primary School to join Pegasus in September 2022 We have received confirmation from the Regional Schools’ Commissioner that Atwood Primary School has been successful in its application to join Pegasus from 1st September 2022.
We can’t believe that the end of the school year has crept up on us so quickly!
It has been such an eventful week at Cypress! Monday and Tuesday saw the hottest temperatures ever recorded in the UK, and the sweatiest school days we’ve ever witnessed!
A highlight of the end of year is the opportunity for pupils in different year groups to share their music work with each other.
