The end of an era for CYP year 6

The year 6 children ended their final year at Primary school with an exciting 2 days.  Last night, we danced the night away to a wonderful disco, had crazy photos taken in the photo booth and ate our body weights in pizza.  The night ended on a high when we were visited by an ice-cream van from which the children were allowed to choose anything they wanted – ANYTHING!!!!  It was delicious.

Today was the day of tears and emotions as the parents joined us for the leavers’ assembly.  The children tugged at our heart strings by telling us their memories of their years at Cypress and their hopes for the future.  They recited an A-Z of Cypress and read a beautiful poem written by our very own Evie McNeill.  The final song had us all in tears.

Year 6 – we will miss you very much but are sure that you will go on to secondary school and achieve great success.  Remember that you are always Cypress and that, with a little hard work and care, the world is your oyster!
