CYP LOWER – Searching for Rainbows in Little Cypress

This week we have been thinking about colours and have shown a huge interest in rainbows! We have been learning the order of the colours of the rainbow through some wonderful books such as ‘What makes a Rainbow?’ by Betty Schwartz and ‘Rainbow Rob’ by Jo Rigg and Simon Mugford. We are brilliant at remembering that the order goes red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet – just like the names of the classes at Cypress Lower. It was fun remembering the names of the classes that our siblings are in!

We have painted rainbows, drawn them using oil pastels, sorted mathematical counting equipment in to the colours of the rainbow and been busy identifying colours around Little Cypress. How funny that our youngest children in Little Cypress are called Rainbows too!

What a fabulous week we have had and we hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
