CYP LOWER – Marvellous Milkshakes in Little Cypress!

Oliver’s Milkshake

The week started off on a delicious note when we made milkshakes, following listening to the story of ‘Oliver’s Milkshake’. We chopped up bananas and strawberries and added blueberries and milk to the blender, before whizzing the mixture up to create a: “…yummy, scrummy, fruity, frothy, icy, nicy, tip top tasty, dreamy, creamy milkshake!”  Frank said: “I loved it because I love bananas!” and Aisha M remembered:“I drank it all up and it was yummy!”. Eira exclaimed: “I tried it but I didn’t like it!”

Makaton Sign of the Week

As usual, we have learned a new Makaton sign this week. This week’s sign is ‘to help’. Click here to see how to sign ‘to help’.

We are Writers

We have been working really hard on writing in so many different ways this week. We have written lists, party invitations, sign-up sheets, re-telling stories and annotating our art work with our names and various messages. The confidence in writing our names has been wonderful to observe and it’s great to see us writing for different purposes.

Rainbow Certificate Winners

In Nursery this week, Dylan received a certificate for good listening, Darcey for doing some amazing homework on her family tree, Ruben D for doing brilliantly with talking to adults and his friends and Arthur for always trying to do the right thing at Nursery.

In Rainbows, Seraphina for always trying to do the right thing, Alma for being such a brave girl and Miles for being a superstar tidier-upper!

We have also been making some incredible models with the construction resources and have enjoyed working collaboratively with our friends to create our masterpieces!

We have been enjoying the sunshine and trying to stay cool with our sunhats, drinking lots of water and staying in the shade as much as we can.

Have a wonderful weekend!
