What an exciting couple of days we have had back in Little Cypress this week!
We have learning all about the Hindu Festival of Light, Diwali and the triumph of good over evil, through the story of Rama and Sita. We have been thinking about the fireworks that are let off during both Diwali and Bonfire Night celebrations and wondering about all the different noises those fireworks make. This has been brilliant for our early phonics, when we are learning to differentiate sounds in the environment and to really listen!
Some of us remembered what we had done over half-term for Halloween and we had great fun scooping all the flesh and seeds out of our pumpkins, squashes and gourds.
Next week we are going to continue our Diwali celebrations by making clay divas.
Today we went out on the school field and had a wonderful time in the sunshine, throwing leaves over our heads!
We all hope you have a wonderful weekend.
