BINF – Sparking Curiosity During Science Week!

Wow, what a completely amazing Science Week we have had! Every single classroom turned into a busy little laboratory, and our wonderful children had the best time being real scientists. We have been busy mixing, testing, and making a wonderful mess all week long!

We had so much fun watching raisins dance in cups, changing the colour of celery with food colouring, and watching giant explosions! We also grew super-sized gummy bears, dissolved eggshells like magic, and watched liquids turn into solids. There was so much gooey fun with messy Gelli Baff and squishy water beads, and we even grew our own green cress. One of our favourite parts was shaking up cream to make real butter, which we ate on sandwiches at a yummy class picnic!

The school was packed with incredible mini-scientists wearing lab coats and goggles!

We were also blown away by all the beautiful, colourful scientific posters handed in for our big competition. You are all so creative!

It is a little bit sad that Science Week is over, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! We love science so much and look forward to continuing to explore, question, and experiment in our classrooms. Keep a lookout for your child’s class story to see all the pictures of what they got up to!
