This week at Atwood, Reception have been engaged in lots of Christmas activities. We have been listening to the Nativity story and learning about why Christians celebrate Christmas. We have been making lots of Christmas crafts, and have even taken Elfie Selfies! The children worked collaboratively to make a sleigh to use in their role play. There were many reindeers flying around the outdoor area and sounds of ‘ho, ho, ho’-ing!
We had 8 parents kindly volunteer to come in and help the children with Christmas Biscuit decorating. We had a visit from Father Christmas who came to read us a story. The children enjoyed eating their biscuits after Santa had gone as it was too exciting to eat biscuits while Santa was in the room!
