On Monday this week, Year 3 had a lovely trip to RHS Wisley. We had a wander around the oldest part of the gardens, Oak wood, and learned how to identify different plants, trees and seeds. We found the tallest tree in the gardens and were astounded to learn that the Giant Sequoia tree trunk can grow to 11 metres across! We had a look at the different plants in the glasshouse and learned how they have adapted to their environments. We were also amazed to see how the bananas grew on trees and were lucky to see them flowering too. Although there was a little delay at the start, a good day was had by all!
