On Monday, our Year 2 choir sang their hearts out at our Academy concert at Whitehorse Junior School. They were the first to sing which caused a few nerves, but they were soon overcome as they began to sing. They sounded so beautiful and were very confident as they sang ‘Something Inside So Strong’ by Labi Siffre. They got a rapturous applause and a cheer from the audience and were rightly proud of themselves. One of the other music teachers told Mrs Quick that ‘Beulah choir’s modulations were so mature.’ Praise indeed. All of the choirs from the other schools then sang their songs and the Djembe Kings also performed some drumming patterns and rhythms. Everyone performed so well and we made sure to give them all a great big clap and a cheer too. The concert ended with all of the choirs singing a final song ‘Singing Together’ which sounded absolutely fantastic. Well done to our Beulah choir and to all of the other performers, it was a brilliant event.
