CYP LOWER – It’s a Wriggly Nativity!

The parents and carers of the children in our Reception classes were treated to two wonderful performances this week. ‘A Wriggly Nativity’ got everyone in the Christmas Spirit, with amazing singing, dancing and acting from Red, Orange and Yellow Classes. The Reception staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that the shows were performance ready and they certainly did not disappoint. It was heart-warming to see how confident the children were and the Nativity is always the best way to get Christmas started.

The story of how Jesus was born in a manger all those thousands of years ago in Bethlehem, remains one of the most powerful tales ever told. The message and the imagery endures to this day, reminding us of the real meaning of this time of year and how greatness can come out of adversity. Wishing peace and joy to all men is more important now than perhaps it has ever been. Today’s version in the hall at Cypress Lower had wriggly turning in to giggly as the camels were led in different directions, resulting in much laughter from the Three Kings and the audience!

Thank you to all the parents and carers for your wonderful contributions in terms of providing costumes and helping your children with their lines and learning all those songs on repeat! Thank you also for your generous donations to Cancer Research UK, a cause close to many of our hearts at the moment. We raised almost £130.00 for this amazing charity.

We wish all our Cypress families a very Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful 2023.
