In Gold class, we are learning about different vehicles, as this term is our “Wheels on the Bus” topic. Over the last couple of weeks, we have been learning about what it means to travel and which vehicles we use to go to different places.
We have had such lovely weather which has meant that we have been able to spend lots of time in the garden. Children have been very keen to help water the plants, particularly our flowers and strawberry plants, which have now blossomed.
In our literacy, we have been focusing on initial sounds in words and rhyming words, those that sound the same.
In our Maths, we have been learning about positional language to describe where things are or the way we follow a route. For example, when we follow an obstacle course. We were very pleased to see the children being brave enough to do high jumps in order to go over obstacles. Ask your child to sing you ‘Where’s the Monkey?’ song. We have had lots of fun using positional language with that song.
You can find a link to the song below
Reminder: Remember every Wednesday is ‘ Share a story’ for our Gold class children. At drop off time, we invite our families to come into the classroom and share a story with their child.
