On Friday 10th November, Ecclesbourne’s house captains were invited to represent our school at Whitehorse Manor Junior School’s Remembrance service. Mrs Roberts, who accompanied the children, said it was a touching service, beautifully done, and we are proud of our house captains for representing us brilliantly.
Whitehorse Manor’s war memorial is dedicated to 117 ‘old scholars’ of Whitehorse who gave their lives during the Great War of 1914-1918. Every year on remembrance day we hold a memorial service to remember these young men and others who have suffered or died in wars since then.
