CYP – A fantastic first week back!
It has been a busy first week back at Cypress. The children have all come back to school keen and excited to learn!
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

It has been a very busy last week before half term!
What an incredible week we’ve had at Cypress Lower School! Museum Day at Cypress Lower School This morning we welcomed Parents and Carers into Cypress for our Museum Day, showcasing the children’s thematic work.

In year 3 we have been studying variations of the Cinderella story.
Today is ‘Safer Internet Day’ and the children at the Upper site are busy exploring how to stay safe online.
Today, Year 5 went to the British Museum and had a fantastic day studying artefacts from our Viking past.
This half term, children from across all the Pegasus schools came together to perform poems in front of a panel of judges.
On Monday in KS1 we had a special NSPCC assembly where we learnt about our children’s rights and how we can ‘Speak out Stay Safe’.
We have been enjoying learning more about the Lunar New Year; the Year of the Rabbit.

In Little Cypress we have been celebrating the Lunar New Year!
This week in KS1 we have been Building our Learning Powers, considering how we can use resources to help us solve problems.
In Year 3, we have been studying the book ‘Jemmy Button’ by Jennifer Uman and Valerio Vidali.
