CYP LOWER: Little Cypress – Down on the Farm….
Back to school! What a fantastic start we have had to our final half term of the academic year!
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

Oliver’s Vegetables We have been remembering all the vegetables mentioned in the story: ‘Oliver’s Vegetables’ and we have really enjoyed printing repeating patterns with them.
Sun’s out! What a change in the weather we have experienced this week!
Growing, growing, all the time… We have observed a fabulous week’s worth of growth of the peas we planted last week.
Jack and the Beanstalk What a fabulous two weeks we have had back at school in Little Cypress!
Spring Festivals We have been learning about different Spring Festivals and traditions this week, including the Hindu Festival of Holi, Ramadan and Eid for Muslims and Easter for Christians.
We know that Spring has properly arrived when the tree in the Nursery playground comes into blossom and this week it has done just that.
Springing in to Action We have had another fabulous week in Little Cypress, with the children impressing us with their increasing levels of independence, resilience and curiosity.
Celebrating Book Week In Little Cypress, we love books! Books are a vital part of our everyday experiences and we come together as a class at least twice a day to share stories and enjoy a wide range of children’s literature, including Fairy Tales, poems, Nursery Rhymes and many, many books!
Rainy days We have had rather a soggy week in Little Cypress with lots of rain and grey skies.
Mathematicians in the making! In Little Cypress we have settled straight back in to the routines after our half-term break.
We have had a short but fun-packed half-term here in Little Cypress and the staff have all been so impressed with how the children are developing their independence.
Kung Hei Fat Choy! Little Cypress has been a sea of red and gold this week as we continue to learn about and celebrate Chinese New Year.
Chinese New Year It’s been a colourful and exciting week in Little Cypress!
Jack Frost has visited! The weather turned very chilly this week and we were certainly prepared for the change in temperature!
