The year 6 children ended their final year at Primary school with an exciting 2 days.
Wishing all of our families a restful and rewarding holiday. Enjoy the break.
Year 2 ended their seaside topic by visiting Broadstairs Beach. Although it was a long journey, the children had a wonderful time playing in the sand, splashing in and over waves and burying themselves in the soft, golden sand.
Children got the surprise of their lives when they got to meet Ava, a half girl half osprey, from a story they read in class before visiting the London Wetlands Centre.
Last week, Year 6 travelled to Chessington World of Adventures. We had a wonderful day swooping through the air like bats on the Vampire ride, spinning and twisting on the Cobra and being swung like pirates on the Blue Barnacle.
During this term, Year 2 have been learning about living things and their habitats.
Last week, year 2 children at Cypress travelled on the bus and tram to visit Morden Hall Park.
We were delighted to kick start our final half term in Year 3 with a magician who visited all of our schools as part of our new Literacy book “Leon and the Place Between”.
In Literacy, the children are currently studying the text ‘Wolf Brother’ by Michelle Paver.
This half term, Year 2 are learning about ‘Seasides’ and have thoroughly enjoyed their learning so far.
As part of their Literacy work around the text ‘Wolf Brother’ by Michelle Paver, Year 6 were visited by two cave people, Twig and Ochre, who camped on the field at Whitehorse Manor Junior School for 3 nights.
Over the last couple of weeks, Year 6 have been studying the text ‘Varmints’ by Helen War and Marc Craste.
The last year has taught us not to take for granted the simple joy of hearing laughter along our corridors, the pounding of feet across our playground and the sight of 30 children all in one room!
This year we took to the virtual universe to bring you a Christmas Junior Production.
