CYP Lower – Imagination Stations in Little Cypress!

Fun in the Sun in Little Cypress

What a fabulous week of fun and sun we have had! The children have been enjoying the Spring weather and noticing all the changes that Spring brings, including some warmer weather, flowers such as daffodils, bluebells and cherry blossom, as well as thinking about the animals that are born in Spring, such as lambs. We have been thinking about our precious planet Earth for ‘World Earth Day’ and we created our own versions of the Earth using paints and collage pieces. Our Makaton Sign of the Week is the World/Earth. Click here to see how to sign the word.

Loose Parts

We have been using our imaginations fantastically in our role play scenarios and our activities around Little Cypress. We particularly enjoyed playing with the loose parts which included cut up swimming noodles, clothes pegs, elastic bands, feathers and pipe cleaners. The adults were suitably impressed with the things that the children created! Sam remarked: “It’s hot today, so I have made a rainbow lollipop!”

We have loved dressing up and using our decking area in the playground as a stage to perform our brilliant made-up songs on.

We are Writers!

The Nursery children have loved drawing and writing this week and wrote some fabulous shopping lists which included glittery hairbrushes and telephones! Our name writing is coming along brilliantly and we are trying to remember to write our names on our work so that we don’t lose it.

We hope that you all have a lovely weekend and that the sun continues to shine!
