The Yellow and Red Reception classes have had a fantastic first full week of school! They’ve been busy using their newly learned skills in all sorts of fun activities. From fine motor tasks like cutting and drawing to practicing their writing skills, they’ve really shown their growing independence. They’ve also been learning about subitising, quickly recognising small numbers, and making great progress. The children have made lots of new friends while exploring both the indoor and outdoor areas, enjoying all the different learning opportunities. We’ve even started our phonics journey and now know the sounds s, a, t, and p! After a week filled with maths, literacy, phonics and art, we are all feeling tired but excited, and can’t wait to see what next week will bring!
One child said, “I cannot wait for phonics on Monday Miss Butler!”
