After the break, Year 2 have been reading Rosie’s Magic Horse by Russell Hoban. Rosie went on a wonderful adventure to find some treasure with her horse ‘Stickerino’, who had been created using lolly sticks. Inspired by the story, children have created their own stick creatures. We have been learning how to use the suffix -er to write sentence that compare their stick creature to another creature or objects. The children have been busy planning their own adventure stories where their stick creatures will feature as the hero.
