We have now finished ‘Owl Babies’ and have moved onto our new story book ‘Peace at Last’ by Jill Murphy. The story ties in nicely with our phonics journey this week where we have been on a listening walk to see what sounds we could hear in the environment. Our nursery rhyme for this week and next is ‘Wind the Bobbin up.’ The children have been enjoying using the actions and singing along to the song. We have been focusing on numbers 2 and 3 and will move onto number 4 next week.
The children really seem to have settled into their new environment and it’s lovely to see all the new friendships blossoming.
