Year 6 School Journey Day 3

After arriving as inner-city camping beginners, all our Pegasus pupils are leaving Cuffley feeling like fully-certified wilderness adventurers. They have represented our school well and gained a lot of independence, whilst all the staff at Cuffley went the extra mile for them.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed themselves: they’ve played hard, eaten well, and discovered new talents.

Many of the children didn’t want to leave but I’m sure they have been greatly missed by family and friends – you may just want to wait until after they’ve showered to give them a hug!

Finally a special thank you to our Pegasus staff who outdid themselves as usual turning the campsites into a home from home. Please show your appreciation to Miss Brady and Mrs Ibbs from Ecclesbourne; Miss Mangroo, Mrs Chapman, Miss Fernandes, Miss Vadhia and Mr Santos from Whitehorse Juniors; as well as Miss Wadham-Powell, Mrs Roberts, Mrs McLelland and Miss Hassan from Cypress.

Thank you also to the parents and carers for helping the children prepare and trusting us to take them on this memorable experience. It’s been a blast!

– Mr Francis
