Year 2 had an excellent morning last Thursday, learning all about the Hindu festival Diwali. Nabhi from the Hindu temple delivered an exciting assembly where we got to dress up and act out part of the story of Rama and Sita. He taught us that Diwali is a festival of light and that Hindus celebrate by lighting Diva lamps and making rangoli patterns. After the assembly we used clay to make our own Diwa lamp holders and designed our own rangoli patterns.
