Over the last couple of weeks in Year 1, we have been working hard to use fine lines to draw our African animal. We carefully drew our animals and then used oil pastels to create the beautiful African patterns. We used paint to create the sunset background and used specific brush stroke techniques to blend the colours together. As a finishing touch we used black paint to add in trees and nature in the background. Our next project in Year 1 will be making our African masks!
We have also had a wonderful opportunity to do some buddy reading with Year 5! We had a lovely time choosing different books to read and getting to know some of the older children in our school! We are looking forward to doing some more reading with Year 5 later on in the term.
