Our Year 1 classes had a fabulous time today on their Moon immersion day. Ready with their space hats on and their space bags, the children blasted off in their rocket from Cypress Space Centre with a countdown from Ms Binks. They explored messy play activities linked to the moon textures and collected moon treasure. Following this, they had a picnic consisting of jam sandwiches and biscuits with sparkly decorations. Finally they met a strange-looking alien and had a chance to interview him.
The children are now looking forward to furthering their learning during their trip to the Science Museum.
