WHINF – Habitat experts
After a fantastic trip to Morden Hall Park, Year 2 have continued learning about habitats.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

Ey ey shipmates! Year 2 have launched into their final English unit with a fantastic pirate day.
This past week, Year 2 have enjoyed trips to Morden Hall Park.
We had a fantastic day celebrating poetry and we couldn’t be prouder of our children!
This week in nursery we have continued with our transport topic and have been reading the story book ‘The Train Ride’ by June Crebbin.
Year 2’s latest topic in maths is measure. We have loved having lots of practical opportunities to practise our new learning.
This week children from the Eco Schools team got involved in cleaning up their local environment.
In Year 2 we are underway with our new Thematic topic – Oh I do Like to be Beside the Seaside.
Over the last two weeks in Gold Class we have been reading the story books ‘We all go travelling by’ by Sheena Roberts and ‘Dig, Dig, Digging’ by Margaret Mayo.
After the break, Year 2 have been reading Rosie’s Magic Horse by Russell Hoban.
This week we have been using the story of Little Red Riding Hood in our learning.
In Reception this week we were learning about the Christian holiday of Easter.
We have had a busy couple of weeks in nursery reading the story book ‘Willbee the Bumblebee.’
Over the last few weeks, Year 2 have been immersed in the book ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes.
