About Us

Whitehorse Manor Infants is the longest established school and most popular school in Thornton Heath, having stood on the same site since the 1890’s.  Generations of families have chosen this school as their first choice but despite having so much history our facilities are right up to date.  Come and see the welcoming atmosphere that has made us a cornerstone of the community for over 130 years.

Excellent Achievement

Whitehorse Manor Infants is a happy school in which children can develop in a disciplined, secure and stimulating environment.  Staff are extremely hardworking and dedicated.  Behaviour is excellent and pupils are very polite and friendly.  Pupils’ achievement is outstanding.

Your child can stay on this historic site in Thornton Heath from Reception all the way to Year 6 due to our partnership with Whitehorse Juniors, which shares the same site and is part of the same Multi Academy Trust (MAT).  At the point of transfer children in Year 2 have an automatic place offered in Year 3 at Whitehorse Junior School, our linked Junior school..

We work hard to promote safety and well-being. Our curriculum is rich and encourages children to enjoy, achieve and make a positive contribution in all areas of life.  Community harmony and our shared identity as ‘Londoners’ is strongly promoted with a focus on cultural education in classrooms, in assemblies and through school events such as our annual family celebration evening.

Working Together

We aim to establish a close relationship with parents and carers so that everyone works together to ensure each child’s happiness and success. Whitehorse Manor Infants is well respected in the community.  We know this because 99% of parents who responded to our most recent questionnaire (March 2023) said they ‘agreed’ or ‘strongly agreed’ that their child(ren) were well taught and 100% of parents also said that they ‘agreed’ or ‘strongly agreed’ that their child(ren) is/are happy and enjoy being at our school.

To support working families, we offer on-site breakfast and after-school care run by our own familiar school team.  Read more about this here.

If your child has special educational needs, please see our SEN School Information Report (accessed via a link on the home page).

We are proud of our school and its achievements!  You are very welcome to visit and see us ‘in action.’  If at any time there is anything you wish to discuss please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
