WHINF – Jeans for Genes Day!
This week all of the staff and children at Whitehorse Manor Infants school participated in raising money for the Charity Jeans for Genes.
For those parents who will be applying for a reception place for their child for September 2026 we have arranged a series of visits so that they can look around the schools with senior staff.
If you wish to view a school please see here for the available dates. Obviously we have to limit numbers so only parents/carers who have booked will be able to attend.

Year 2 have been enjoying using manipulatives in maths to consolidate their understanding of place value.

Year 2 have loved reading The Lonely Beast by Chris Judge as their first English text.
Parents and carers will have become aware of the current issue with some schools in the UK that have buildings made of RAAC – Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.
This term we had another successful trip to the beach with year 2.
Year 2’s final DT project of the year has been ‘Puppets’.
Ahoy there landlubbers! Year 2 had a wonderful Pirates Day on Friday.
The sun shone and the rain stayed away for Year 2 as they spent the day at Broadstairs Beach on Tuesday.
This week we took part in our annual sports day event!
This week in Whole Class Reading we have been reading Too Small Tola by Atinuke.
Year 2 have been exploring habitats as part of their science topic.
Dear Parents and Carers Introducing ‘Studybugs’ – our new system for securely reporting absence as well staying in touch with the school.
5th July and 7th July 2023 Sadly, there has been no further progress in settling the ongoing pay dispute between the Department for Education and the teaching unions.
