WHINF – Year 2 visit Hampton Court

Year 2 had a wonderful time visiting Hampton Court Palace.  Having been studying the Tudors and Henry VIII since September, this was a fantastic opportunity to bring their learning to life.  After a smooth train journey from Selhurst, Year 2 arrived safely at their destination.  They were treated to handling artefacts in the kitchens, including trenchers and goblets.  In the cellar, they saw the most enormous barrels where Henry would have stored his wine.  The size of Henry’s gardens were unbelievable.  The children were lucky enough to see swans, cygnets and ducks, as well as some deer in the neighbouring park.  It was a brilliant trip!
