Last week, as part of our Book Week celebrations, Year 6 were visited by an inspirational hip-hop artist and poet, Kimba who taught us how to use S.H.A.M.P.O.O. to write fantastic poetry. Kimba explained that S.H.A.M.P.O.O. is an acronym for Simile, Hyperbole, Alliteration, Metaphor, Personification, Onomatopoeia and Oxy-moron. The children in year 6 have written some fantastic poetry as a result and we hope that you enjoy reading these examples.
