CYP Upper: Christmastime is Here!
We have been feeling very festive at Cypress Upper this week.

We have been feeling very festive at Cypress Upper this week.
Christmas has really taken off at Atwood this week. A slighter shorter newsletter this week as, amidst all the usual learning, everyone has either been performing or rehearsing for shows.
What a busy week Beulah have had! Our children have all been ‘SUPER STARS’ in every Christmas performance (Look out for the website stories for each year group) and every show was packed out with our families coming watch their children perform.
Many of us look forward to the coming of Christmas for many different reasons.
We have had a busy couple of weeks in nursery. We had a visit from an oral health expert, the children loved meeting Dinky the dinosaur who taught them lots about how to brush their teeth and eating lots of healthy food.
It has been a wonderful week of festive fun at Whitehorse Manor Junior school.
Reception at Cypress Lower have been working very hard over the last few weeks to prepare for their ‘Wriggly Nativity’.
Christmas, Christmas, Christmas is the theme in Nursery this week. We have been very busy practising our Christmas songs ahead of our classroom performance on Monday 16th December as well as making some props for display.
This week in Reception, the children learned about the Nativity. They discovered that people who follow the Christian religion celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Jesus Christ.
The WHINF choir made us so proud this week with their wonderful performance at Tesco.
This week, reception has been getting ready for Christmas in a number of ways.
On Tuesday, Gold class performed Christmas songs to their parents. This was an amazing achievement because the children had learnt most of the songs in less than a month!
Last week, we had a very special visit from Magic Breakfast who helped us create our Magic Makers Festive Breakfast.
It was a rare pleasure for me to accompany the WHJUN choir on their annual carol singing visit to Tesco in Thornton Heath this Monday.
On Monday 9th December, Year 5 and 6 members of the upper school choir visited Acacia Care Centre.
