This week in reception we have been learning about Jack and the Beanstalk. After reading the story the children created story maps and used them to help retell the story. The children have had the pleasure of role-playing the story by using puppets they have created to retell the story. As you walk into reception all you can hear is “Fee fi fo fum I smell the blood of an Englishman!” The children have also been developing their craft skills by making items such beanstalks and magic beans. When making their magic beans, the children thought about what they would wish for if they had some. What would you wish for if you had a magic bean?
