These past two weeks, we warmly welcomed our new children into Reception, making sure they felt safe and comfortable in their new environment. We focused on helping them settle in, introducing routines and establishing a sense of belonging. The children were excited to meet their new classmates and explore their classroom. We made sure to create a welcoming atmosphere by engaging in circle time, where the children shared their names and what they were excited about in school. This gave everyone a chance to get to know each other and start building friendships.
In addition to the settling-in activities we introduced our new theme Humpty Dumpty. The children were immediately captivated by the classic nursery rhyme. We explored the story through reading, singing, and even re-enacting the tale.
