Today our three Year 2 classes travelled back in time and experienced what a day at the seaside might have been like during Victorian times. As part of our thematic learning about seaside, we had an amazing immersive workshop from ‘Teach it through drama’ and funded by our PTFA. Children deepened their knowledge of the past, whilst having great fun at role play. They enjoyed getting dressed with their straw hats on, pretending to ride donkeys, eat an ice cream from a ‘penny lick’ glass or watch a Punch and Judy puppet show. Thank you to our fabulous host, Liz, who brought that bygone era back to life!
