Beulah celebrated the end of Book Week in style! On Thursday, we had a fantastic book character parade where the staff and children were thrilled to see many characters including superheroes, prince and princesses, wizards and witches, dragons and dinosaurs, our very own Elma, Willy Wonka, and Wally from the Where’s Wally? books. Well done to all of the parents for making such an effort to make their children’s costumes. The teachers had a very hard job choosing just a few to win the prizes!
On Friday, the amazing author Michael De Souza enthralled the children with stories from his ‘Rastamouse’ series. He brought his stories to life with role play which involved all of the teachers; much to the delight of the children – laughter rang throughout the school!
All of the children went home with their World Book Day token which can be exchanged in participating stores for one of the FREE World Book Day books or put towards another book of their choice. Please don’t forget to use them!!
