CYP UPPER: Jubilant Jubilee Celebrations!
This week has been a testing week for our Year 6s.
We have some places remaining at our Nursery at Ecclesbourne Primary School in September. Full time and part time places are available. We have had the most wonderful day at Cypress today celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
What an incredible day of celebrations we have had in Little Cypress today!
Sunday May 15th Multiple locations – see below 9:30am @ South Norwood Lakes for age 10+ 11am @ Monument for all abilities A fantastic and fun co-creation with our friends at Kidical Mass London, we’re going for a ride to (for big kids) and through (for everyone) Central London, a parade with IBikeLondon’s wonderful cargo bike sound systems loaded up with a family friendly playlist along the Thames Cycleways, lunch in Southwark Park (great cafe with wide range of kid friendly options!),
We have had a week of celebrations in Little Cypress to mark the occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Pegasus Academy Choir was back singing with “Young Voices” this year and was on top form on Monday 25th April.
We hope you are all prepared for Year Six’s bushcraft adventure next week, especially as the weather forecast is looking hopeful!
We’ve had a lovely day in the sun at Cypress and it’s been great to see everyone enjoying our wonderful school grounds.
This week we have been focusing on another traditional tale; The Three Little Pigs.
Thank you to all the parents, carers and children who joined us for the last meeting about this month’s residential trip for Year 6.
Year 3 has had a fantastic first week back to the summer term.
Welcome back to the new Summer term! We hope that everyone had a very happy Easter holiday and it’s been great to see our children returning looking very smart in their uniforms.
In Little Cypress we have had a fabulous first week back for our Summer Term.
As part of their Literacy work around the text ‘Wolf Brother’ by Michelle Paver, Year 6 were visited by two cave people, Twig and Ochre, who camped on the field at Whitehorse Manor Junior School for 3 nights.
After a jam-packed Book Week, we rounded off celebrations with a fabulous assembly led by Margaret Bateson-Hill, here at Lower School.
