CYP Lower – Welcome to our museums!

This week has been ‘Thematic Week’ and children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been busy transforming their classrooms into museums.  We have seen some incredibly creative pieces of art and DT work and children have enjoyed exploring the museums set up in other classrooms.

In Reception children have been creating the scariest monsters we’ve ever seen, complete with goggly eyes and sharp teeth!  Watch out… the Orange class monster wants to eat Ms Whorms, Ms Kokkini and Mrs Sorensen!  In Year 1 children have been learning about recycling and creating their own toys and games made out of recycled materials.  We’ve seen some incredible castles, tanks, football tables and even a toy elephant.  Year 2 have been immersed in their Great Fire of London topic and have painted some amazing silhouette skylines.  They have also displayed their work from their Tudor topic, including some detailed self-portraits.

Well done Cypress Lower School!  We have been so impressed with your classroom museums and we are very proud of your hard work on display.
