We have continued to think about meta-learning this week. In particular, we have been thinking about which learning powers are the most useful in specific tasks, for example in a revision task, we would need to capitalise, make links and use interdependence (consider whether it is better to work alone or with others).
We have had a truly magnificent start to Book Week here at Cypress Upper!
We have returned from our holidays full of vim, vigour and determination.
Year 6 have had a fabulous week, concluding their work on Ancient Egypt.
We have had a wonderfully creative week. Year 6 have been creating death masks and learning about mummification, the process of preserving bodies ready for the afterlife.
This week we have been thinking about our most important Pegasus value, -‘we care’, thinking carefully about how we show that to others, and ourselves.
This week we have continued thinking about ‘reciprocity’ and in particular, listening and speaking in pairs or a group.
This half-term we are working hard to develop our oracy skills; we have been thinking about oracy carefully and have decided that good listening skills are a prerequisite to good speaking skills.
Happy New Year to all of our Cypress families! We hope you have had a restful holiday.
