Today we celebrated all things harvest at Ecclesbourne.
Jupiter class started the day with a lovely assembly which taught us about where food comes from and how it travels from where it is grown to where it is sold. They also cheered up a grey Friday morning with a joyful song.
This week, our families have been bringing in donations of food and toiletries which were collected this morning by the Salvation Army, who will share it with those in need.
At this time of year, we like to stop and think about how grateful we are for the food we eat and the people who work so hard in the farming, logistics, catering and retail industries to make sure we have access to what we need. We think of those who may need some support and come together to share what we can to make sure our local community is provided for. A huge thank you to all our families for their generous donations!
