This term, our topic is ‘All About Me’, where we are learning about ourselves and our local area, including important landmarks. We enjoyed a trip to our local Grange Wood Park, where we explored the natural environment and collected autumnal materials.
Inspired by Italian artist Giuseppe Archimboldo, who created portraits using natural objects, the children used leaves, twigs and other natural materials to create their own imaginative portraits.
It was a fun and creative way to bring together our learning in history and our local area.
