The sun absolutely beamed down on Year 1, as if the universe itself agreed they could not have picked a better day for an adventure! With backpacks on and minds wide open, these eager little explorers set off for the Horniman Museum, where the dedicated teachers had masterfully curated a day proving that learning truly hides around every corner. They bounded through the vibrant, blooming gardens and dove headfirst into the exhibits, their eyes sparkling with that unmistakable magic of fresh discovery. The absolute highlight came when they crossed paths with a gentleman holding a jaw-dropping, 4 metre long snake skin; as he shared fascinating reptile secrets, the children stood completely captivated, hanging on his every word. Keeping the momentum going, the group journeyed into the rich and colourful Africa section, soaking up history and culture like mini-anthropologists. Throughout it all, the tireless teacher guided every step with endless enthusiasm, turning simple observations into profound, joyful lessons. It was a spectacular day out that perfectly showcased Year 1’s boundless love for learning and the school’s commitment to bringing education to life.
