CYP Lower : The Mystery of the Missing Purple Key in Little Cypress

The children in Nursery became detectives this week! We had a new puzzle with lots of different coloured keys. By Tuesday, the purple key had disappeared! We looked high and low throughout Little Cypress for this missing key, to no avail. We discussed where it could have gone and there were plenty of ideas such as Seve had borrowed it to escape out of the gate, someone had used it to open the Nursery shed and even that Sam the Caretaker had tried to start his car with it!

Without any further prompting, the children started creating their ‘Lost Purple Key’ posters, drawing some fabulous representations on paper. They then walked around Little Cypress, holding their posters for all to see, chanting: “Have you seen the purple key?” The staff were hugely impressed with such fantastic thinking and innovation. As it stands, the purple key is unfortunately still missing, so please keep your eyes peeled! We need to solve this mystery..

In other news, we have started making our Father’s Day cards for our daddies or for someone important in our lives. We have been so impressed with the children’s cutting skills and their name writing. It has also been heart warming to listen to the reasons that they all love their daddies, uncles and grandads!

We hope you all had a wonderful weekend and we look forward to another busy and fun-packed week ahead.
