What a dramatic start to our ‘To The Rescue!’ topic! Reception turned into top-tier detectives this week after discovering a classroom burglary. Red Apple, Ted, Pinky, and our raisins were missing!

Pinky the Maths Monkey staged a daring escape to provide a description, and the children created ‘Wanted’ posters. Thanks to their help, the police caught the culprit—Burglar Bill! Everything (except the raisins!) is safely returned.

Beyond the crime-fighting, we’ve recapped Phase 3 Phonics sounds and tricky words. In Maths, we compared numbers within 10 using ‘more’, ‘fewer’, and ‘equal’, and in PE, we mastered our egg and pencil rolls!
