There is lots of fun and fantastic learning happening in Year 1 as the children truly play hard and work hard at Beulah.
At their tender ages, the teachers have been ensuring the children understand the importance of a healthy work life balance through active play and focused learning.
This half term, Year 1’s learning has been centred around toys, toy shops and the mystery of the missing toys. The children have loved exploring stories and ideas linked to their favourite toys.
This week, they wrote brilliant recounts describing their exciting toy hunts. They even marched around the school, eagerly searching for their missing toys which truly enriched their writing. Check out their pictures in the gallery to see some of them hard at work 😀
Alongside this, sport coaches have visited this week to deliver some extra high quality team games. Because team spirit is essential! The children were bouncing in the hall, throwing balls and squealing with excitement. You might see your child smiling their widest smile in the pictures below.
Also we had an exciting inter-trust poetry competition, where the prize was a trip to Crystal Palace stadium. Go Palace! Our children stood proudly on stage and delivered the sporty poems. We are excited to announce that Beulah came second place for Year 1. Go Beulah!!
Until next time, over and out!
