Year 2 had a wonderful visit t the Croydon Mosque and Islamic Centre. The children were warmly welcomed and enjoyed learning about a place that is special to many families in our local community. The children explored the building, asked thoughtful questions and showed great respect throughout the visit.
Our Muslim children were especially proud to share their faith with their friends. The confidently explained key traditions and recited some beautiful verses.
This trip was a meaningful moment of celebration, understanding and mutual respect. Teachers look forward to this trip every year as it helps children see how different beliefs are valued within our community. Additionally, trips like this ensure we maintain strong positive ties with the local community.
