Over the last 2 weeks in nursery we have been learning all about colours. We finished reading ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See’ by Bill Martin Jr and Eric Carle and have just completed the book ‘Rainbow Colours’ by Juliana Perdomo. The children have enjoyed singing the rainbow colours song and have completed many colour activities ranging from making their own rainbows to colour sorting their toys.
In maths we are continuing with our shapes focus and have been learning about squares and triangles. We have been learning about the properties of the shapes and have been counting how many sides and corners they each have. We have been continuing on our phonics journey and have now covered the sounds ‘a’ and ‘t.’ The children have the opportunity to add objects that start with the sound of the week to the box each week, this week they added our focus shape, triangle, to the ‘t’ box!
We were also lucky enough to have a visit from Dinky the dinosaur who taught us all about good oral hygiene and how to look after our teeth.
