Today at school, Yellow Class had a fantastic time learning all about the phoneme ‘k’ for kite. The children listened carefully, practiced saying the sound, and used it to sound talk and blend words during our phonics session!
To embed their learning even more, Yellow Class made their very own colourful kites! They used their cutting, fine motor, and phonics skills to design and build them, thinking carefully about how to form the grapheme ‘k’ onto their kites.
Once finished, it was time to take the fun outside and fly our kites! The children were full of excitement as their creations lifted into the sky. We’re all hoping for a windier day tomorrow so we can see them soar even higher!
We can’t wait to find out what phoneme we will be exploring next…
