This week Year 2 classes welcomed Nabhi from the London Institute of Vedic Education for a fun-packed assembly about Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. Nabhi introduced the story of Rama and Sita and taught the children a simple chant. Children particularly enjoyed learning about the different characters and dressing up to re-enact the story. They will be making diva lamps out of clay as a follow-up activity.
