Following the success of the Whitehorse Year 5 and 6 Indoor Athletics Team at the qualifying event in December, the team attended the finals event on Wednesday to compete against the other qualifying schools. The competition was extremely fierce and we are delighted to have been placed fourth out of seven schools.
Highlights of the competition include: Ernest throwing the ball so far in the chest push event that it almost hit the wall, Micah literally flying through the tunnel in the under and over obstacle relay, Larissa conquering her pre-race jitters and we are especially proud of Asia who felt too nervous to take part in the obstacle relay in the qualifying competition, but with a boost of confidence was determined to take it on at the finals.
Well done to all of the children on the team, we are very proud of you all!
